Hagley Hall’s landscape park, laid out in the mid-1700s, is one of the best surviving examples of an English landscape garden and sits right on the village’s doorstep, with the Clent Hills behind it. If your garden backs onto that kind of ground, expect a fair amount of what grows out there to try its luck in your borders.
